If you are a motorsport fan, Ferragudo is in a great location for visiting the Internacional Autódromo do Algarve race track in Portimão, which has a fantastic programme of motor sports events throughtout the year (and the ocassional big music event too)!
During the summer months there is a regular programme of entertainment in Ferragudo centre in the evenings and plenty of cafes and restaurants around the square to enjoy some refreshment at the same time!

March Events Highlights: There are lots of fantastic Algarve events in March, from music & sports to famous food festivals!
The month kicks off with a guitar concert from well-known musician Adriana Calcanhotto playing at Faro’s Figuras Theatre 5th March & the theatre will also host the 11th Faro Flamenco Festival on the 14th. The famous Sausage Fair of Serra de Monchique takes place 7-8th March promoting the traditional sausages of Monchique made with generations of knowledge handed down by the people of the 'serra'. Algarve food festivals always have a great party atmosphere as well as being seriously yummy!
The 13th edition of the Children's and Youth Arts Festival of Albufeira is on the 7th, 14th & 21st March & at the end of the month (28th March to 5th April) Vila Real de Santo António & Ayamonte (Spain) will host the 22nd edition of the Football Mundialito. The biggest children's football tournament in the world involving 4000 participants from over 50 countries, around 200 teams, playing nearly 750 matches!
Looking forward to April...The April events calendar is packed with Easter celebrations, music, motorsports, wine & nature...to name but a few! The Lagoa Wine Show takes place 2nd to 4th April and the most famous Easter events are the Sovereign Mother Festival in Loulé on the 5th (& 19th April) & the Flower Torches Festival in São Brás de Alportel. Portuguese artist, António Zambujo, has a concert at the Figuras Theatre in Faro on the 4th April & for motorbike enthusiasts, the 2nd Edition of the FIM CEV REPSOL International Championship is being held at the Algarve's International Circuit 24-26th April.
